Paula Venäläinen is a Finnish artist who wants to keep her work as delicate as a child’s dreams and hopes. She created this painting while immersed in the sweetest memories of her youth: "As a child I wanted to learn to fly, and horses and art gave me the wings I lacked."
The idea of the young artist is that a child’s imagination is something to truly cherish, that children’s “wings” should be reinforced. For this reason, it is possible to get a glimpse in her work of Paula's childhood memories related to the horse of her life. He gave her the strength to bring out her truest feelings and to tell the world about the magical bond between humans and horses.
Together, for 24 years, they went through many special moments, beautiful but sometimes also difficult, and many adventures. And over time, they grew together from childhood to adulthood.
It's magical to form a lifetime friendship between two different but so similar species.
In her thoughts each caress was a dream, and each jump a step towards freedom.
In the painting, the little girl hugs her sweet horse while he points his ears to show that he fully perceives the little’s girl’s immense love.
The little dreamer is dressed in a light silky dress, as light as the dream she wants to ride.
