“Hug” is worth a thousand words

Caring relationships with children and horses have always been a part of Bethany Goforth’ life and continue to be today.

"Personally, having a pony to hug as a child, I am fully aware of the comfort and safe place this special bond can bring."

And for this reason, the American artist with the painting “Hug” wants to represent that safe place, that special bond and comfort only a child and horse can have in a peaceful, relaxed setting.

She used graphite on cream drawing paper, the timeless quality of an achromatic drawing transcends all ages and languages and allows the viewers themselves to be giving a hug to this little pony friend.
