What legs to envy!

Stylized horse with long legs created by Salvador Dalì
This piece from our collection is a metal reproduction of a stylized horse with long legs created by Salvador Dalì.

In the horse, the legs are as important a part as they are delicate.

In fact, the enormous weight that pushes on the hooves and the lower part makes these areas particularly prone to injury. But the way they move quickly is one of the unique characteristics of horses, which allows them to develop maximum speed. The upper part of the limb is very muscular, while the lower part acts as a lever to
increase thrust. The leg is supported by an ‘apparatus’ consisting of tendons and ligaments. The tendons, which can be felt along the back of the lower leg, run along the entire length of the limb, while the joints are held together and protected by ligaments and joint capsules.

Thanks to the constant attention of the rider for the horse's health and commitment to training, we can achieve great results, such as those of the champion Giulia Martinengo Marquet, the only Italian woman with two gold medals won at the national championships. She also devotes a lot of care to her horses, especially for the delicate parts like their legs and we, like her, always pay close attention to them.
