Where horses can fly into the cosmos of art

Horse Museum Foundation Federico Ferrarini Fiera Cavalli 2023
This year Fieracavalli witnessed a moment of pure enchantment with the revelation of the work "Scall Triade" by Federico Ferrarini, a great Italian-American artist who lives and works between Verona and Miami. It’s a dynamic creation, where three horses seem to soar towards a cosmic future, becoming the symbol of the growth and evolution of the Fair.
With a bold artistic touch, Federico wanted to celebrate the 125 years of history of Fieracavalli, transforming the original futurist horse into an artistic trilogy. The marble sculpture represents three horses, each in homage to the colors of the Italian flag: green, white and red.
To achieve this result, he used three different marbles in collaboration with Atelier Marmo di Campione d'Italia: Verde Alpi, inspired by the majesty of the mountains, Bianco di Carrara, homage to the Italian Renaissance and Rosso Verona, the stone that colors the entire magical Venetian city where Fieracavalli is based.
The collaboration between Fieracavalli and Federico began last year when it gave life to another wonder: an unbridled horse aiming for the starry sky. A rocket horse that projects towards infinity with bold movements, as the moment when these extraordinary animals face high obstacles. The work is inspired by the genius of Umberto Boccioni, the master of Futurism who tragically died in Verona due to a fall from his horse.
This horse called "Scall" has become the emblem of Jumping Verona's communication campaign. For Jumping Verona 2022 campaign, he also created 400 chestnut wood boards depicting "Scall" and which were donated to the winners of the categories.
And thanks to Fieracavalli, one of these tablets has now become part of the Horse Museum collection.
